College Roommates

In this article  it discusses some of the perks and set-backs to having a college roommate. For example some of the set-backs can be that they leave the light on at night making it difficult for you to fall asleep, you not getting along with them, or just simple things like eating each other's food. Although having a college roommate isnt all bad. Here are some of the perks listed in the article. You have someone you know you can count on every night, if you get along it could lead to a very good friendship, and you always have someone looking out for you at the end of the day.

In my opinion having a roommate would be alright. Having a roommate be somebody I didnt know would be even better because that way I could make a new friend and get introduced to some of their friends and their cute "girl" friends. Oh yeah. Plus if he plays guitar or somethin we could jam.

FAA

FAA

2. When and why was the agency established.
The agency formed from a result of the Air Commerce Act of May 20 1926 . The agency was formed in the beginning solely for safety standard regulations and ensuring that pilots were certified.  With Jet airliners becoming more and more popular and many numbers of airline collisions helped to sway the minds of congress when they passed the Federal Aviation Act of 1958. This act gave the FAA sole responsibility for making the safety standards.

3. What types on products or services does your agency regulate.
The FAA regulates airline saftey standards and ensures that pilots are certified and fit to fly.

4. Select one product or service that the agency regulates and analyze the impact of the agency's regulations on consumers and producers.

The agency regulates safety standards on airplanes and any airborne vehicle. The agency's impact on consumers and producers was that with higher safety standards people trusted the airline companies more and felt more free to fly without worry making the producers more money and it helped the consumers by ensuring their safety and making them feel more comfortable.

Itunes

With Itunes selling songs for only 99cents alot of recording companies are complaining. They are saying that they are losing sales and some are even taking their artists off of itunes alltogether. Take Kid Rock for example. With his new album "All Summer Long" out his recording company didnt give itunes any rights to sales.  The article is saying that itunes is trying to monopolize the music industry by selling songs for cheaper and claiming exclusive rights to sell some artists songs.  Some of the problems that kid rocks record label is facing is that itunes is swiftly becoming the biggest force in music sales and by taking him off they are most likely going to lose a large number of sales.

In my opinion itunes is an amazing thing. With our world going digital as fast as it is the record companies had better stop whining about itunes and start trying to get a better deal with the large online music download company.  If the record companies shun itunes then they will surely not be able to keep up with their competition.
